Dell Children’s Medical Center Art & Music Therapy Program

We are proud to be a sponsor of the 2021 Art of Giving event, benefitting Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, Texas. Funds raised from this event go to Art and Music Therapy. These non-billable interventions are the best non-medicinal healing tools in modern medicine, helping children work through problems, express themselves, create, sing, be happy, be sad, tell their story, work through family conflict, reveal abuse and neglect or comply with medicine and difficult surgeries and allows kids to just be kids during some long, tough hospital days.

UCLA Mattel COVID-19 Virtual Playrooms

Due to COVID-19, playrooms at UCLA Mattel are closed. Instead, the Chase Child Life Program is offering 10 virtual playrooms per week utilizing bedside iPads and Zoom, including dedicated virtual times for toddlers, teens and even a weekly parent “playroom.” It takes a lot of work to prepare for and facilitate all 44 Zoom playrooms per month. All activities and supplies need to be individually bagged and delivered by hand to each patient or parent participating. The Chase Foundation sponsored virtual playrooms at UCLA Mattel for the months of Oct-Dec 2020 and Jan-March 2021 by contributing funds for necessary supplies and staff time. Special thanks to the Big Smiles program and donor Nancy Rosenberg for supporting this program.

Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center Sensory Stations/Mini Playrooms

Due to COVID-19, playrooms are closed at Tarzana. We provided funding for items including projectors, vecta mobile station, and weighted blankets to create mini sensory playrooms within patient rooms.
