The Chase Place Teen Lounge opened in July 2005 in order to serve teens’ needs by giving them a chance to socialize with others their own age. Teens throughout the hospital are welcome to use the In this teen-only zone, teens can enjoy their own age-appropriate activities, such as exploring the internet, playing video games, watching movies, listening to music, making arts and crafts – all in a safe, comfortable place to express their thoughts and feelings about their medical experiences. Universal’s Discover a Star Foundation made a generous contribution to the project through The Chase Foundation. In addition, Universals creative team donated its time and talents for the room’s design. The hospital’s teen-focused programs give teens a sense of belonging and a break from illness or injury – and sometimes far more. |
