The Chase Place Teen Lounge opened in July 2005 in order to serve teens’ needs by giving them a chance to socialize with others their own age.  Teens throughout the hospital are welcome to use the Chase Place teen lounge with permission of the medical care team.

In this teen-only zone, teens can enjoy their own age-appropriate activities, such as exploring the internet, playing video games, watching movies, listening to music, making arts and crafts – all in a safe, comfortable place to express their thoughts and feelings about their medical experiences.

Universal’s Discover a Star Foundation made a generous contribution to the project through The Chase Foundation.  In addition, Universals creative team donated its time and talents for the room’s design.

The hospital’s teen-focused programs give teens a sense of belonging and a break from illness or injury – and sometimes far more.
